Organiser Geoff Ellis is looking forward to a bumper weekend for T In The Park after its stressful relocation to a new site in Strathallan.

Under threat due to wildlife conservation concerns not so long ago, the festival kicks off as hoped today (July 10th), with main acts Kasabian, Avicii, The Libertines and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds coming up during the course of the weekend.

“I think The War On Drugs will be great,” Ellis told Scotland’s Daily Record. “I really want to see them and St Vincent in the King Tut’s stage.”

“Prodigy are one of the best festival acts around and Noel Gallagher is a T in the Park favourite as are Kasabian and Stereophonics. The Libertines will be special on Saturday night headlining T in the Park for the first time then Avicii closing the main stage in his first appearance at the festival.”

“I just wish I had the time to go around and see them all. “I’ll be overseeing everything, but hopefully by Sunday I’ll be able to relax and see a few acts.”

Away from the main stage, Twin Atlantic headline the BBC Three/Radio 1 stage on Saturday, while Slaves should not be missed on the same site today.
