There’s more essential new music coming up from Gaz Coombes in September following on from his quite brilliant 2015 album ‘Matador‘.

On September 18th, one of this year’s best releases will be revisited in the form of the ‘Matador (Da Capo)‘ EP, which is lead by a strikingly reworked, extended version of ‘Matador’s title-track.

It’ll be available on numbered and coloured 12” heavyweight vinyl, backed with a demo of the single, a new instrumental and two live tracks recorded at a recent Old Market gig in Brighton.

“The haunting, atmospheric ’22/20′, complete with trademark Gaz ‘ooohs’, is a forward-thinking effort with echoes of Radiohead, whilst retaining his distinguished songwriting hallmarks,” our album review reads. It’s a sound dabbled with on the debut solo album ‘Gaz Coombes Presents: Here Comes The Bombs‘, but here it is fully realized.”

“Its chorus explodes into a euphoric climax that’s begging to soundtrack a dramatic space film scene.”

‘Matador (Da Capo)’ EP tracklist:

Side A
Matador (Da Capo)
Matador (Demo)
4 Track Loop

Side B
Buffalo (Live)
To The Wire (Live)
