Oxfordshire five-piece Foals have announced the follow up to 2013’s “Holy Fire“. The band will release their fourth album “What Went Down” on August 28th on Warner Music.

Fans will be able to get a listen of the album’s first single and title track on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show this Tuesday ( June 16) and the song will be made available for download directly after it is played.

For album four, Foals retreated to the South of France to record in a rural 19th-century mill. Vocalist Yannis Philippakis said about his time spent working with producer James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence & The Machine, Jessie Ware, Mumford & Sons) “I wanted to tap into my inner madman and feel like I was channeling some sort of fevered creature”.

Album track listing:

What Went Down
Mountain At My Gates
Birch Tree
Give It All
Albatross
Snake Oil
Night Swimmers
London Thunder
