The last few months have been about rehab and The Libertines for Pete Doherty, but he’ll be back in London later this month for a couple of solo shows after completing a drug recovery programme in Thailand.

Doherty sent out a letter to the NME announcing the shows, both of which will take place on the same night – February 22nd – at the Brixton Jamm. “It’s been a long old Bangkok’s half hour,” his letter read. “But now the Lad ‘imself is heading Brixton sides to stone the crows awhile. Doo dah diddly!”

While he works on new Libertines material and continues the band’s live reunion, like bandmate Carl Barat Doherty is still concentrating on other avenues and will release the solo single ‘Flags Of The Old Regime‘ on March 9th through Walk Tall Recordings.

All proceeds go towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which aims to help young people in the fight against drug and alcohol misuse.
