The release of Radiohead‘s ninth album is still someway off yet, but work has been going well according to the band’s drummer Philip Selway.

“It’s all coming along nicely,” he revealed when in conversation with Drowned In Sound. “We worked throughout the autumn up to just before Christmas, and now we’re just taking some time away for other projects.”

“We’ll get back to it in March and we’ll make an assessment of where we are then, but we’ve been excited about what we’ve been doing so far. It’s by no means finished yet, so we’ve got a way to go. It’s been a productive time though.”

Recording on a follow-up to 2011’s ‘The King Of Limbs‘, first mooted at the start of last year, was confirmed by Thom Yorke on Twitter in September 2014. After a few cryptic posts he was clearer in stating that ’15 years of discarded words and pictures while overdubs happen in Radiohead’s studio’ were being sorted through.
