The announcement was made this evening (February 2nd) when Royal Blood, Bastille and Catfish & The Bottlemen were also added to the bill along with Wolf Alice, Deadmau5, Years & Years, Hannah Wants, Jack Garratt and Pretty Vicious. As ever, it all goes off during the (hopefully) baking August bank holiday weekend.

Live4ever was at the Leeds site all weekend during the 2014 event. After some standout performances from the likes of Augustines, Band Of Skulls and Fat White Family, our review of final night headliners Arctic Monkeys read:

“Songs like ‘Do I Wanna Know?‘ and ‘Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I Moved Your Chair’ are given more gravity. They rumble along almost expectantly, certain of their brilliance. It’s intense and almost writhing, not your usual raucous headline set that relies solely on an audience’s recognition. This is deliberate and striking, the Arctic Monkeys taking control, and giving an epic finale.

Melvin Benn: “I’m delighted to have secured Mumford & Sons for Main Stage headliners this summer and can’t wait to see them return to the Festivals for their first UK performance in over two years. With today’s announcement of a further eight great acts joining the bill, the Reading & Leeds line-up is already shaping up to be one of the best ever and I’m looking forward to revealing the third headliner and even more great artists soon.”
