Jack White‘s cover of Harry Connick Jr‘s ‘Blue Light, Red Light (Someone’s There)‘ has been revealed and can be heard through Soundcloud below.

The track is acting as the b-side to White’s new single  ‘That Black Bat Licorice’ which is itself backing last year’s ‘Lazaretto‘ album. The release date has been set for February 23rd on XL and Third Man.

Released in June last year, ‘Lazaretto’ came close to the trans-Atlantic success of White’s solo debut of 2012, ‘Blunderbuss‘, hitting number one in the US but just missing out on the top spot in the UK.

“In a tabloid driven era where instant gratification and overly saturated information streams are available at the touch of a button, Jack White stands alone in the music industry as a refreshingly traditional figure,” our review states.

“Representing a direct link back to the mythical world of the Delta Blues, alongside the subsequent Dylan and Rolling Stones blues rock era, White is a steadfast advocate of such tangible and authentic values which had seemingly become distorted amongst a disposable, portable market.”
