They first made a serious dent back in 2006 with the irresistible ‘Over and Over‘, at a time when it felt like soon-to-be-classic singles were coming along every week.

Nearly a decade on, Hot Chip will return with the new album ‘Why Make Sense?‘ on May 18th. The follow-up to 2012’s ‘In Our Heads‘ was recorded in Oxfordshire and London, produced by Hot Chip’s own Mark Ralph. It’ll be released along with a special bonus EP comprising four tracks also recorded during the album sessions. An official video for opening track ‘Huarache Lights‘ is right here.

A short tour of the UK gets underway shortly before the LP’s release at Glasgow’s School Of Art on May 12th. Further live shows have been booked at the Manchester Gorilla on May 13th and London’s Oval Space on May 14th.
