Best Coast return on May 5th with their new album ‘California Nights‘, following 2012’s ‘The Only Place‘ and the 2013 EP ‘Fade Away‘.
“Been keeping this secret long enough and now it’s finally time to share it,” Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno said on Facebook. “Thrilled to announce our third album ‘California Nights’ is coming out May 5th on Harvest. In honor of the state that has inspired us on SO many levels, we’re playing a few small shows in California to kick things off.”
Cosentino has previously told Rolling Stone an eclectic list of influences were being sourced for the record, including Gwen Stefani and Drake.
“This is going to sound totally weird, but Drake is a huge inspiration,” she said. “It’s not going to be a rap record, but in terms of lyrics and emotion. I cannot stop listening to Drake. I am obsessed. It’s ridiculous how obsessed I am.”
