Greek Tragedy‘ has become the first track to preview The Wombats‘ new album ‘Glitterbug‘ after being premiered on BBC radio yesterday (January 14th). Watch the official video here.

The promo was directed by Finn Keenan and features a turn from actor April Pearson playing the part of an unhinged Wombats fan.

On April 6th, ‘Glitterbug‘ will be released following recording sessions in London and inspiration in Los Angeles. European dates are due soon after, starting with UK shows on April 8th.

“That became the main inspiration for most of the songs, this false world that I’d created for myself,” frontman Matthew Murphy has previously said. “As time progressed, I’d go to L.A. more and more, and the idea kept on building. The album’s about the envy and the struggle and the pretence and the worry and the fear that L.A. – and every major city in the world – encompasses.”
