The release of Sufjan Stevens‘ new album ‘Carrie & Lowell‘ on March 30th will be supported with a lengthy North American tour starting shortly after at the Academy Of Music in Philadelphia.

The dates take Stevens to Canada from April 29th and continue into May back in the States at Brooklyn’s King Theatre. After recharging his batteries during the second half of that month, he’ll return for more shows in June.

‘Carrie & Lowell’ was recorded with guests Casey Foubert, Laura Veirs, Nedelle Torrisi, Sean Carey, Ben Lester and Thomas Bartlett, and is said to deal with ‘life and death, love and loss’, and document Stevens’ ‘struggle to make sense of the beauty and ugliness of love’.
