A documentary film which tells the story of the Manic Street Preachers‘ fortunes from their 2005 Past-Present-Future tour through to the present day will receive a limited cinema release later this month.

No Manifesto‘ will be premiered at the Chapter Cinema in Cardiff and at Manchester’s Cornerhouse Cinema on January 30th and 31st before being released on DVD in February. February also has cinema showings in London and Nottingham.

“For the making of No Manifesto, the Manics provided unprecedented access,” filmmakers WibblyWobbly have said in a statement. “The film tells the story of the band’s rise from mouthy punks to international renown, takes a fascinating look at the band’s creative process, and joins them on tour.

“By combining footage shot at home and on the road with rare archival materials and fan interviews that provide commentary, lore, criticism and praise, No Manifesto gives a comprehensive look at a most unusual band.”
