Johnny Marr has uploaded to YouTube the track which is acting as the b-side to his new single ‘Dynamo‘ – have a listen to ‘Struck‘ below.
‘Dynamo’ is taken from Marr’s UK Top 10 album ‘Playland‘, which was released back in October last year. “With the realisation that the fetters are off and that victory over our prejudices is a matter of time, at ‘Playland’s business end he delivers a classic one-two to always leave ‘em wanting more; penultimately on ‘This Tension‘, which mines the raincoat brigade ennui of The Cure and The Teardrop Explodes, whilst closer ‘Little King‘ hands Miles Kane his skinny jeaned upstart ass back to him on plate,” our review declared.
Marr has more recently been heard on the new Noel Gallagher single ‘Ballad Of The Mighty I‘, contributing trademark jangly guitar lines and a typically understated solo; virtues which very gradually make themselves known upon repeated listens to become one of the track’s many highlights.
