Alt-J, London Grammar added to Germany’s Melt! Festival

Germany’s Melt! Festival has added London Grammar and Alt-J to its line-up for 2015.

There’s plenty more on the first round of confirmed acts, including Flume, Jon Hopkins, La Roux and Nils Frahm. The event is held between July 17th-19th in Ferropolis, not too far from Berlin. It should represent an upturn in live fortunes for London Grammar, who spent most of the second part of 2014 canceling tours due to ill health.

Alt-J soon start what is sure to be an unforgettable few months for the trio, beginning with a gig at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday (January 24th). By March they’ll be in New York for a similarly impressive headline booking at Madison Square Garden.

These live commitments support the album ‘This Is All Yours‘ – one of Live4ever’s essentials of last year. “It should be noted this is not all thoughtful soundscapes, or wistful moments, there are some truly stunning tracks,” our review ends.

“Obviously there are moments of dark menace that hit hard, but at other points the record is playful and witty, done with the lightest of touches, and this brilliant flexing encapsulates just how wonderful the album as a whole is. This is everything a second album should be, because it’s all the things the first told us it could be.”
