The Cribs have built a full UK tour around their appearance at London’s Electric Ballroom on February 12th next year for the NME Awards.

With a new album primed for release in 2015, the Jarman brothers have added six gigs to their calendar for February, and will now start the month in Nottingham for a show at the Rescue Rooms on the 11th. Following the previously announced London appearance are visits to Portsmouth, Bristol, Birmingham, Glasgow and Sheffield.

The Cribs have been working with producer Ric Ocasek on the successor to 2012’s ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull‘, whose release will confirm their move from Wichita to Sony RED after a decade.

“For us it was really, really hard, we haven’t really spoken about it,” bass player Gary told BBC Newsbeat of the departure. “It was difficult really, we’ve been with Wichita a long time, so it was really hard, it was like a break up with a girlfriend.”

“When you are on an indie label, when you have grown together, it’s much more personal. Like I said, it is more like breaking up with someone more than a business thing.”
