Drenge set UK tour dates for early 2015

Drenge will move into 2015 with three UK dates as they continue to tease a new album.

The brothers Loveless will play the Leeds Brudenell Social Club on January 19th next year, and move on to the Deaf Institute in Manchester a day later. After a short break, they’ll then be at the Tufnell Park Dome in London on February 12th.

While the wait continues for new material, we can at least console ourselves in the still fresh as a daisy entertainment of their self-titled debut album, one of the stand-outs of last year.

“Still, for all the talk of rock, ‘Drenge’s quieter moments are among its most intriguing,” our review reads. “‘Bye Bye Bao Bao‘, a one-minute link that melds an overdriven electric guitar to a soft pop melody, recalls ‘Bandwagonesque‘ era Teenage Fanclub, while the beautiful album closer ‘Fuckabout‘ is arresting in its honesty, as evidenced by the final utterance: ‘I don’t give a fuck about people and love, they don’t piss me off, they just make me give up’.”

“That cynical attitude is par for the course on ‘Drenge’; which also includes songs with titles such as ‘People In Love Make Me Feel Sick‘ and ‘I Don’t Want To Make Love To You‘.”
