Biffy Clyro bassist James Johnston has reflected recent comments made by his frontman Simon Neil in saying the band are looking on 2015 as being their ‘year off’.

Neil has already said much the same, claiming they will concentrate on writing new material after taking time away, and Johnston has told much the same story when chatting with NME.

“I think we’ll have a quiet one,” he confirmed. “We don’t like to be in people’s faces too much. The last thing we want is for people to get bored of us, so you could almost call it a year off.”

Simon Neil is though expected to put solo material out in 2015 via the new side project ZZC. Before then, Biffy Clyro will both revisit and celebrate their back catalogue during three nights at the Glasgow Barrowlands. Fans were asked to help shape the setlists and will discover the results between December 6th-8th.
