The Who are fittingly looking back on five decades at the forefront of British rock with a plethora of archive footage in the video for their new track ‘Be Lucky‘, which can be seen below.
‘Be Lucky’ is the most recent part of the band’s career-spanning collection ‘The Who Hits 50!‘, released last month. It is expected to herald a full blown new album from Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend next year after they completed a series of celebratory live dates around the world.
“The Who have got a new record out,” Daltrey told The Mirror. “It’s 50 years on and we have passed the audition. We’ve done one song and we are going to do a whole album. It’s exciting.”
Those live dates will include a headline appearance at British Summer Time at London’s Hyde Park next June when they will be joined on the bill by Johnny Marr, Paul Weller and Kaiser Chiefs.
