Interpol‘s UK and Ireland tour, scheduled for February 2015, has been expanded out to include new dates in Leeds and Glasgow.
Adding to the previously announced itinerary, which takes in two nights at the London Roundhouse, a visit to Manchester’s Albert Hall and three gigs at the Dublin Olympia is a stop at the Glasgow Barrowlands on February 14th and a visit to Leeds’ Beckett Students’ Union a day later, all as part of a wider European tour for the band in support of their new album ‘El Pintor‘.
“The main element to take from this album is its ability to be automatically Interpol, but still a conscious departure from what has preceded,” Live4ever’s review reads. “There’s an analogy with chemistry that fits the band’s return. As a compound, they were a four-atom molecule, now they’re a three-atom molecule. The new structure doesn’t mean they’re weaker, they are stronger, more radioactive, with a fresh energy planted in the songs’ tight structures and the album’s detailed set.”
