James Blake will briefly visit North America from the end of next month for five shows.
Blake flies into Toronto and the Mod Club on November 30th to start the trip, and subsequently visits the Music Hall of Williamsburg in New York on December 1st, Young Arts in Miami (5th), San Francisco’s The Chapel (7th) and finally The Roxy in Los Angeles on December 9th.
Blake picked up the 2013 Mercury Prize thanks to his second album – and second nomination – ‘Overgrown‘. With this year’s ceremony set to take place at the end of October, the mantle will soon passed on; some of the favourites to take home the prize on October 29th include Damon Albarn and his first solo effort ‘Everyday Robots’, East India Youth‘s excellent ‘Total Strife Forever’, Kate Tempest‘s ‘Everybody Down’ and, flying the flag once again for the world of rock, Royal Blood with their self-titled debut album.
