Glastonbury’s head of production departs, Noel Gallagher wants to headline

glastonburyThe non-stop positivity which has surrounded Glastonbury for some time now has taken a bit of a blow with the news that the festival’s head of production Dick Tee has resigned.

The man behind many spectacular Glastonbury shows for the best part of two decades has not gone into any great deal about his reasons for departing, but did tell Event Industry News:

“I am extremely sad and disappointed that my concerns regarding the way certain elements of the festival are now being structured and managed are not being adequately considered and dealt with, and as such I have found myself in an untenable position regarding my continuing role.”

Meanwhile, with Glastonbury all nicely sold out for 2015, one of the bookies’ favourites to headline next year has told organiser Michael Eavis he is ready and waiting for the call. Speaking at a Q&A session on Monday (October 13th) to launch his second solo album ‘Chasing Yesterday‘, Noel Gallagher said: “If I was asked, yeah. I’ll headline the spoken word tent, anything.”
