The great and the good of US rock music will convene in Los Angeles next February to simultaneously pay homage to Bob Dylan and raise money for MusiCares, a foundation that provides assistance to musicians.

The gig is to be held two days before next year’s Grammy Awards in February 2015 and has Jack White, Beck, Neil Young, The Black Keys, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Eddie Vedder, John Mellencamp, Norah Jones and more on its bill – so let’s hope Jack White and The Black Keys can be civil with each other.

It is arranged as Bob Dylan is named the 2015 MusiCares Person Of The Year by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

“In celebrating the 25th anniversary of our MusiCares Person of the Year tribute, it is most fitting that we are honouring Bob Dylan, whose body of creative work has contributed to America’s culture, as well as that of the entire world, in genuinely deep and lasting ways,” Neil Portnow, CEO of the MusiCares Foundation and The Recording Academy, remarks in a statement.
