Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai and Frightened Rabbit will publicly lend their support to Scotland’s Yes campaign when they perform at the Edinburgh Usher Hall on September 14th.

The gig will take place just a short time before Scotland holds its independence referendum vote, when citizens will decide whether to remain a part of the United Kingdom along side England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

“In just a few weeks we will have the once in a lifetime opportunity to take our place on the global stage and show the world what we are made of,” Mogwai have said, while promoter Tommy Sheppard added to The Scotsman:

“The Yes campaign has unleashed tremendous creative energy and now a small segment of Scotland’s artistic and creative community are getting together to prepare to move up another gear in the final days before the people of Scotland make the most important decision of their lives.”
