Fleetwood Mac are ‘discussing’ the possibility of headlining next year’s Glastonbury festival, Stevie Nicks has reportedly told Uncut magazine.

The legendary, recently reunited band were considered one of the strong favourites to perform at Worthy Farm this year before eventual headliners Arcade Fire, Metallica and Kasabian were confirmed, but it seems talks have continued beyond June and a deal might be reached for 2015.

“Chris is excited to come back to London,” Nicks has apparently said of the band’s live plans. “It’ll be soon, probably May. Glastonbury? You never know. You have to weave festivals in. It’s being discussed.”

Fleetwood Mac have remained one of the bookies favourites for next year, along side the likes of Iron Maiden, Prince (as ever) and even the currently defunct Oasis. The festival has just been named ‘the most influential in the world‘ by Spotify, the claim being based on the increase in streams witnessed by the event’s aforementioned 2014 headliners after their respective appearances on the Pyramid Stage.
