Apple launches U2 album removal tool for iTunes

u2wideApple has launched a dedicated removal tool for all those who have been struggling to get U2‘s new album ‘Songs Of Innocence‘ out of their lives after it was thrust upon iTunes users last week.

It’s not been an easy task deleting the Irish supergroup’s latest LP from iTunes’ purchase history after it was made available for free to all Apple subscribers but, as the company explains, a simple click of a button should now do the trick.

“If you would like U2’s ‘Songs of Innocence’ removed from your iTunes music library and iTunes purchases, you can choose to have it removed,” Apple explains. “Once the album has been removed from your account, it will no longer be available for you to redownload as a previous purchase.”

Meanwhile, it’s been revealed that around 2 million people have taken up the opportunity to fully download the album since it was first uploaded on September 9th.
