The line, ‘Are we human, or we dancer?’, from The Killers‘ 2008 single ‘Human‘ has music’s ‘weirdest lyrics’ according to a new poll conducted by Blinkbox Music.

2,000 people were quizzed, and placed ‘Human’ (whose lyric in question is said to have been inspired by Hunter S. Thompson) immediately ahead of The Beatles and their, ‘I am the eggman, they are the eggmen. I am the walrus, goo goo g’joob’, line from ‘I Am The Walrus.

“It’s true that song lyrics are sometimes as crazy as a box of frogs, but then that’s show business,” managing director of Blinkbox Mark Bennett remarks. “It would be a really boring world if everything was logical and made sense.”
