She & Him have revealed their latest release, previewed last week, will be an album of covers entitled ‘Classics‘.
Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward will offer 13 covers recorded with the assistance of a 20-piece orchestra on the album. “We are incredibly excited to release a record of our favorite songs,” Deschanel says.
“It was a dream of ours to record these songs in a way that highlighted the brilliance of the songwriting and the beauty of their melodies. We had a wonderful time making the record and we hope people have a wonderful time listening to it.”
The record was said to be ‘coming this fall’ when the preview was offered a few days back, and follows the ‘Capitol Studios Sessions‘ EP of last December 2013 and the previous LP proper ‘Volume 3‘ which was released a little earlier in the May of 2013.
