The 2014 Latitude Festival begins today (July 18th) and while warm weather is promised throughout the weekend, there’s also set to be some heavy thunderstorms along the way.

According to the BBC, Friday will be warm and sunny throughout, but moving into the evening showers are likely to build and could become thundery. Saturday and Sunday are then predicted to again be warm with much heavier thunderstorms persisting.

Damon Albarn and The Black Keys are topping the festival this year, though Two Door Cinema Club‘s transition to headline status had to be cancelled earlier this week due to an illness being suffered by frontman Alex Trimble. Lily Allen has stepped in as the last minute replacement.

“It is with a heavy heart that we are going to need to cancel our upcoming shows at Latitude and Bournemouth Academy,” the band said in a statement. “Alex collapsed at Seattle airport on the way to London and has been hospitalised with a chronic stomach complaint. We are devastated to have to cancel shows that we were so looking forward to. We can only apologise and hope for your understanding at this time.”
