Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac is to release a double album of material originally conceived between 1969-1987 but properly recorded more recently in Nashville and Los Angeles.

24 Karat Gold: Songs From The Vault‘ is out on October 7th, produced by Nicks along with Dave Stewart and Waddy Wachtel. “Most of these songs were written between 1969 and 1987. One was written in 1994 and one in 1995,” she says in a statement.

“I included them because they seemed to belong to this special group. Each song is a lifetime. Each song has a soul. Each song has a purpose. Each song is a love story. They represent my life behind the scenes, the secrets, the broken hearts, the broken-hearted and the survivors.”

Fleetwood Mac have also been working on material after their reunion, though recent sessions which were reported to have resulted in eight new tracks did not include Nicks due to other commitments.
