Robert Plant: Jimmy Page should ‘have a good rest’

Jimmy Page should go get a ‘good rest’ according to his, now very occasional, Led Zeppelin bandmate Robert Plant as the pair’s differing views on a potential live reunion grumbles on.

As the Led Zep back catalogue starts to be re-released this week, with their first three studio albums all heading for the Top 10 on the UK Album Chart, Jimmy Page has made no secret of his desire to get the group back on the stage for the first time since 2007. But an obstacle remains in the form of Robert Plant, whose opposition only seems to be getting greater as Page becomes more restless.

“I think he needs to go to sleep and have a good rest, and think again,” Plant has told The National. “We have a great history together and like all brothers we have these moments where we don’t speak on the same page but that’s life.”

The stretched out blues debut ‘Led Zeppelin‘ is currently leading the way of the three remastered albums on the UK charts, with ‘III‘ and ‘IInot far behind.
