There’s not much in the music world Josh Homme doesn’t like to dabble with, but solo shows are a rarity so it will be something of a novelty when the Queens Of The Stone Age mainman takes to the stage alone for an acoustic show in London on June 16th.

Homme has agreed to the performance at the Royal Festival Hall for the latest edition of Meltdown, which is being curated this year by James Lavelle of U.N.K.L.E. fame.

“I’m thrilled to announce my long term friend and collaborator Joshua Homme who will be playing a one off acoustic gig that will round off what has been an incredible year for one of the world’s greatest rock n roll stars,” Lavelle remarks. “Expect something truly magical.”

Homme and Lavelle worked together on the 2003 U.N.K.L.E. album ‘Never, Never, Land‘, while more recently Lavelle offered his services to Queens Of The Stone Age’s 2013 effort ‘…Like Clockwork‘.
