Ahead of their Finsbury Park double-bill starting tonight (May 23rd), Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has admitted to sometimes suffering with nightmares before the band play big shows.

“I sometimes have nightmares before big shows,” he told XFM. “Like we’ll be playing a show and the field will empty. One of the reasons stuff starts going wrong in them dreams is because I’ll walk on stage and it’s not my set-up.”

“I’ll be trying to figure it out while the field’s emptying. Before Glastonbury, years ago, I had a dream like that and I was screaming at the guitar-tech like, ‘Why now? Why did you pick now?’.”

Arctic Monkeys have a second outdoor show in London coming up tomorrow, and then play Dublin’s Marlay Park in July. Festival headline appearances at Reading/Leeds and T In The Park are also included in a busy summer for the Sheffield band following the runaway success of their fifth album ‘AM‘.
