Muse stopped to remember the 20th anniversary Kurt Cobain‘s death with a cover of the Nirvana track ‘Lithium‘ at last weekend’s Lollapalooza event in Brazil. Fan footage has been uploaded to YouTube and can be viewed below.

Muse’s performance at Lollapalooza marked a swift return to live action for the band after they were forced to cancel a show at the Grand Metropole in São Paulo on April 3rd due to an unspecified illness.

The group are pressing on with laying down a new album, aiming to have something released possibly as early as this December.

“I’ve written some good tracks actually,” frontman Matt Bellamy previously told Triple J. “We haven’t had a chance to rehearse them out yet. We’ll take a break next year for a little few months and then we’ll get in the studio. If it all goes very well, the new album could well be early 2015 or late 2015. Christmas 2014 might be when we release our next single.”
