The Black Keys have taken up the final headliner slot at this year’s Latitude Festival, joining the previously announced Two Door Cinema Club and Damon Albarn.

Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney lead a host of acts added to the Latitude bill, with the likes of Editors, James, Crystal Fighters, The Afghan Whigs, Mogwai, Lykke Li, War On Drugs, Temples, Parquet Courts and Conor Oberst all now also set for appearances at Henham Park in Suffolk between  July 17th-20th.

Latitude will hand Two Door Cinema Club their big break as headliners and, speaking when the band was announced back in December, bass player Kevin Baird insisted it is a step up they are more than ready for.

“We’re ready to headline,” he said. “We’re ready to smash it. Over the past five years we’ve made the progression from playing in the small tents to being close to the top of the bill on the main stage.”

“Headlining a great festival like Latitude is obviously quite a big deal for us but we also feel like it is the next natural step,” he said.
