The Horrors have named their new album ‘Luminous‘ and will release it on May 5th.

Originally mooted to be out in the September of last year, ‘Skying‘s successor will finally be out through XL Recordings in the spring after a spate of reworkings as discussed by the band’s guitarist Josh Hayward when speaking to Drowned In Sound a little while back:

“We had quite a long time away from it so there’s no harm in going back in and looking over the album again to see if there’s anything we could do differently,” he said. “The album was very us at that moment. Now it’s been put back there’s a good chance we will end up wanting to change it because we’re constantly having new ideas and trying different things.”

Lead single ‘I See You‘ will be premiered as Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World on BBC Radio 1 this evening (February 24th).
