In sending out heartfelt love letters to the early blues and rock and rock of the fifties and sixties, the young band have won an army of famous friends this past year or so, and brought their impressive live show together on the debut album ‘Snapshot‘ last September.
“If The Strypes have one key aim on ‘Snapshot’, it’s to make you dance,” Live4ever’s review reflected. “Each track seems to move at a million miles an hour, with the tight arrangements and structures only adding to that feeling. Moreover, this is an album of hooky choruses and shouty verse lines – the sort of lines that will inhabit your head for days on end.”
The Strypes’ ongoing UK tour continues in Bristol a day later, and runs through until a show at the Sheffield Leadmill on February 22nd.
