Kasabian have become one of the hot favourites to headline this year’s Glastonbury Festival after bookmakers, at least for now, suspended betting on the Leicester band joining Arcade Fire at the summit of the Pyramid Stage this coming June.

William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly has wedged his rear firmly into a fence by telling NME that, ‘It seems that all Kasabian need to do is sign on the dotted line and they will be playing one of the most iconic sets in the world’.

Back in October, just after Glastonbury sold out for this year, betting was also suspended on Fleetwood Mac becoming one of the 2014 headliners, though any official confirmation has still not been announced.

Meanwhile, Blondie appear to have confirmed their appearance at Worthy Farm if the Metro are to be believed, while speaking at the same event as Debbie Harry, Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis revealed Disclosure will have a ‘big slot’ at the event.
