The release date, title and tracklist for Damon Albarn‘s first solo album proper have all been disclosed online.

Everyday Robots‘ is set for release on April 28th this year, and is to be available in a variety of formats including a deluxe CD/DVD package which will come complete with a live performance from the Fox Studios in Los Angeles. A single precedes the LP’s release in March.

Albarn outlined the early recording process last spring, when he detailed the contribution being made to the album by XL label boss Richard Russell:

“Richard does the rhythmic side, and I do everything else,” he told Rolling Stone. “It’s sort of folk soul. We worked together on the Bobby Womack record, and really enjoy working together.”

“He’s done spectacularly well as a music mogul, but I think he wants to focus his energy on producing records. Making a solo record can be such a disaster, so I thought if we’re going to make a record with my name on it, I should get someone to really produce it – take that responsibility away from myself.”
