The Wireless Festival will move to another new home in time for next summer, organisers have confirmed.

After countless run-ins with local residents and councillors, promoters Live Nation announced their Wireless and Hard Rock Calling events would both be moving from Hyde Park to the new Olympic Park in London for this year’s leg, and Wireless has now moved again for 2014 and is to take place at Finsbury Park.

When announcing the initial move at the start of this year, Live Nation’s President of Concerts John Reid said: “As the world’s leading provider of music festivals and outdoor events, Live Nation is delighted to have won the inaugural contract for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.”

In addition, Wireless will expand out to a second city, Birmingham, in 2014 with the bill switching sites across the weekend next July. In 2006 and 2007 Wireless was also a twin-festival affair with the sister location being Leeds’ Harewood House.
