Arctic Monkeys will be joined by Tame Impala, Miles Kane and Royal Blood for two outdoor shows at London’s Finsbury Park next May.

The announcement signals the Sheffield band’s arrival as one of the UK’s biggest live draws, and is to take place on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th of May next year. Tickets go onsale a week today (November 22nd) from 10am.

The release of Arctic Monkeys’ fifth album ‘AM‘ has seen their stock continue to grow in both the UK and US, where they will return early next year for more headline dates which include a gig at Madison Square Garden on February 8th 2014.

“‘AM’ is a near flawless, brazen, yet reflective dancefloor filling triumph of an album,” Live4ever concluded in our review. “A defiantly risk taking chemical blend in the myriad of past and contemporary genres on offer produces thrilling results, continuing the trend with each passing record of subtle changes to maintain the listener’s interest.

“Turner’s initial modesty in his timid instruction to the nation to not ‘believe the hype’ now seems a lifetime away. This band will be revered long after they decide to call it a day, having lived up to the hype, and exceeded it, in astronomical proportions.”
