The successor to 2010’s highly decorated ‘The Suburbs‘ has been gradually making itself known during the course of this month, primarily during a series of low-key live appearances in the US.
Now, a glimpse of the full studio version is being offered ahead of the official release next week.
In conversation with BBC DJ Zane Lowe last month, Win Butler spoke of his belief that Arcade Fire’s fourth LP would ‘surprise people’.
“I never wanted to be in a band that couldn’t play whatever music we wanted to and I think that every record has been a project itself and some of the stuff on this record is really going to surprise people – it’s even more different than ‘Reflektor’ I would say,” he said. “It’s more of a classic double LP vibe where you have to flip the side and it takes you to a different place.”
