Video: Queens Of The Stone Age cover Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?’

Queens Of The Stone Age have covered the Arctic Monkeys‘ latest single ‘Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?‘ for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge series – have a watch below.

Josh Homme continues a strong association with the Sheffield band which began when he dragged them out to the Mojave desert in 2008 for Californian recording sessions which largely resulted in the third studio album ‘Humbug‘, in the process beginning a love affair with sludgy, late night rock which continues to this day.

Homme has also played a role on the Arctics’ impending new album ‘AM‘, providing vocals on the songs ‘Knee Socks‘ and ‘One For The Road‘. He described the LP as ‘really cool and sexy’ when speaking at the Rock For People festival in the Czech Republic earlier this summer, adding:

“I sang on the new Arctic Monkeys record. It’s really good. It’s really good. It’s not disco but it’s like a modern, dancefloor sexy record. It’s really good.”
