Video: Arcade Fire premiere lead single from double album ‘Reflektor’

Arcade Fire have unveiled an Anton Corbjin-directed video for their epic, 8-minute new single ‘Reflektor‘ – have a watch below.

The lead track from the band’s fourth album of the same name, which was revealed yesterday (September 9th) to be a double LP, presents a harder, more acidulous edge to the defiant 80s sound which made ‘The Suburbs‘ such a runaway success, and also features a brief cameo from David Bowie, whose input has been described as ‘a brief backing vocal on the James Murphy produced track’ on his official Facebook page.

Pre-orders for ‘Reflektor‘ point to a world tour being announced by Arcade Fire very soon, with their official website promising early access to ticket sales for ‘special shows’ and wider tour dates when the album is purchased.

The Canadian group celebrated the global debut of their new single with a special show at Montreal’s Salsatheque venue, according to reports. Playing under the assumed name The Reflektors, just 100 tickets were made available to fans who were asked to wear fancy dress for the occasion.
