Live4ever’s New Tunes Guide feat. Death By Sexy, Southern and more

The first New Tunes Guide of September offers up highlights from Death By Sexy and Southern.

Death By Sexy released their new double A-side single ‘Burning Like A Fever/Lady Low’ at the start of this week. Frontman Jimmy Sweet, a native of Los Angeles, teams up with four Londoners by the names of Charis, Belinda, Sarah and Hazel for the vigorous lush tones that permeate lead track ‘Burning Like A Fever’. If you’re around London anytime soon, they have dates in the capital booked at Paper Dress on September 13th and the Good Mixer on October 26th.

Belfast brother and sister duo Thom and Lucy Southern continue the growing trend for sibling combos on the acoustic-led partnership Southern. Now based in Liverpool, ‘World Don’t Shine’ is the first material to emerge from the pair since they signed up to the Marathon Artists label. It pre-dates a debut album, which is expected next year.

These and eight other picks of the week can be found by scrolling through our latest collection, and you can catch up with all our previous editions by clicking on the New Tunes Guide logo below.
