Fade Away‘, a new mini-album from Best Coast, is to be released next month as the Californian duo prepare to offer the first new material since last year’s ‘The Only Place‘ album.

Due out on October 22nd through singer Bethany Cosentino‘s new Jewel City label, the seven-track album is described as being inspired by Mazzy Star, Patsy Cline, My Bloody Valentine and Ambien.

“Everything in this band has worked out so organically that sometimes it scares me that something bad is going to happen,” Cosentino has said. “I feel like the luckiest person in the world. If I wasn’t doing this, I don’t know what I would be doing.”

Two tracks, namely ‘Who Have I Become?‘ and ‘Fear Of My Identity‘, were previously released as part of the 2013 Record Store Day celebrations, though the other five – ‘This Lonely Morning‘, ‘I Wanna Know‘, ‘Fade Away‘, ‘Baby I’m Crying‘ and ‘I Don’t Know How‘ – are brand new.
