Johnny Marr, Django Django, Vampire Weekend up for 2013 AIM Independent Music Awards

Johnny Marr, Django Django and Vampire Weekend are just some of the artists nominated for this year’s third annual AIM Independent Music Awards.

Johnny Marr is up for the Best Live Act prize along side the likes of Bellowhead and The National, while Vampire Weekend have been nominated in an impressive looking Independent Album Of The Year category which also includes excellent releases from Daughter, David Byrne & St Vincent, Ghostpoet, Jagwar Ma, John Grant, Jon Hopkins, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Public Service Broadcasting and The xx.

Django Django, meanwhile, will compete in the Independent Video and Most Played New Act categories when the ceremony at London’s The Brewery on September 3rd, hosted by DJs Huw Stephens and Steve Lamacq.
