Manic Street Preachers have extended their September tour of the UK.
With the bulk of the UK dates preceded by a trip to Ireland on September 20th for a gig at the Dublin Olympia, the Welsh trio will now travel north to the Ulster Hall in Belfast as the UK dates resume a day later. Gigs in Newport, Bristol, London, Manchester and Glasgow are also booked before the month is out.
Manic Street Preachers’ new album ‘Rewind The Film‘ is boxed up for release on September 16th and, according to bass player Nicky Wire when speaking to NME recently, is set to be followed in the first part of 2014 by another brand new record.
“It’s not just chucking something out; it’s really fully formed,” Wire told the publication of the sound of that LP. “It’s the next step on from ‘The Holy Bible’ and ‘Journal For Plague Lovers’. It’s quite intense but synthetic as well.”
