Atoms For Peace to make London Roundhouse shows available for purchase

atomsforpeacewide1Thom Yorke‘s supergroup Atoms For Peace will use the soundhalo platform  – which offers streams through smartphones and desktops – to air footage from their three gigs at London’s Roundhouse venue later this month.

“Part of the reason soundhalo was interesting to me was that I found myself wondering why, whenever you go to a gig, the next day there are a million shaky, horrible sounding YouTube videos already online,” Nigel Godrich of Atoms For Peace has said.

“But you go and look because you want to see something of your experience. Soundhalo provides something really functional – an experience that you want to remember in front of you as soon as the concert has happened. To be able to relive that is a really great thing.”

Gigs recorded on July 26th and 27th will be made available for purchase, while soundhalo itself says the shows are set to stream ‘as it happens’.
