The Rolling Stones ‘still debating Glastonbury TV coverage’

The Rolling Stones have still not come to an agreement with the BBC over how much of their headline performance at Glastonbury tonight (June 29th) can be aired on television, according to the Evening Standard.

Reports last week suggested the two parties had come to an agreement which would allow around an hour of the group’s first ever Worthy Farm appearance to be broadcast, but a source has now told the newspaper debate still rages just hours before the Stones are due on the Pyramid Stage.

“The band will decide how much will be shown tomorrow afternoon,” the source claims. “They signed up to perform on stage — not to appear on a television programme. Glasto is not a TV show.”

In contrast, The Rolling Stones did allow their entire New Jersey show of late last year to be streamed live on Sky Box Office in its entirety to those who had paid a £15 booking fee.
