Motorhead have cancelled two European gigs as frontman Lemmy has been taken ill.

A show in Milan scheduled to have taken place yesterday evening (June 25th), as well as booking for June 22nd in Austria, have both been pulled after Lemmy was diagnosed with a haematoma. The location or severity of the condition has not been revealed, but it comes just a short time after the singer was fitted with a defibrillator to counter heart problems.

Motorhead are due in the UK later this year for their annual November tour of British shores which is all set to begin at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham, and also includes a visit to the Newcastle City Hall, a two night stay at the Brixton Academy in London on November 16th and 17th and final stops at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, Manchester Apollo and Glasgow Academy.

Tour dates:

NOVEMBER
Nottingham Royal Concert Hall (13)
Newcastle City Hall (14)
Brixton Academy (16, 17)
Wolverhampton Civic Hall (19)
Manchester Apollo (20)
Glasgow Academy (22)
